Explore Phang Nga Bay, admire Khao Tapu and Khao Phing Kan, paddle a canoe, and marvel at Koh Hong.
This Phang Nga Bay cruise review is unlike any other tour I've ever experienced.
This time, we'll be cruising through Phang Nga Bay in a luxurious boat, allowing us to relax and enjoy the journey without having to wake up early. Throughout the trip, we'll be treated to a variety of snacks and beverages. The day concludes with a sunset dinner, creating an unforgettable experience. The scenery throughout the Andaman Passion Luxury Boat trip is simply breathtaking.
This trip was incredibly relaxing, as we didn't have to wake up early. Therefore, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, taking in the stunning views and the beautiful swimming pool of the Beyond Patong Hotel, our accommodation for this trip. Beyond Patong is a new hotel that recently opened, boasting a convenient location within walking distance of Bangla Walking Street in Patong. The surrounding area offers various shops, supermarkets, and the beach is just a short walk across the street.
We will depart from the hotel around eleven o'clock to drive to Ao Po, aiming to arrive by one o'clock in the afternoon. The scheduled meeting time is around one o'clock. While there is typically a shuttle service available at various hotels, we have opted for the convenience of driving ourselves, as we have already rented a car. This will allow us to avoid waiting for transportation and provide flexibility for potential stops on the way back, such as purchasing snacks.
The atmosphere at Ao Po Pier is amazing. We drove from Beyond Patong, following the GPS, and arrived in no time. The weather at Ao Po today is perfect, with clear skies. It's truly the ideal day for a trip to the beach.
Details of the Phang Nga Bay boat trip on this occasion.
The boat departs around 1:00 PM. A train will take you directly to the pier.
The boat offers comfortable seating, including tables for group conversations. For larger groups, there are designated seating areas at the back of the boat. This trip is perfect for families with children, as the spacious boat provides a comfortable ride with stunning views. Snacks, refreshments, and drinks are available throughout the trip.
After a short wait, it was time for the boat to depart. The view and atmosphere were stunning, unlike any other trip I've taken. Usually, I have to wake up early and take a speedboat to go diving or surfing. But on this trip, I could relax and enjoy the scenery while snacking the whole way.
We passed other boats along the way.
Passing by Boat Lagoon, I saw a lot of yachts.
Today's refreshments include water, snacks, tea, coffee, and stir-fried noodles with fried spring rolls.
After a satisfying meal, enjoy the scenery. Stroll around, exploring different corners of the boat. Head to the front for breathtaking views.
The front of the boat serves as a sleeping area, allowing you to sleep while enjoying the view.
It is perfect for the evening atmosphere, as you can lie down and watch the sunset.
We continued sailing until we were close to Koh Hong, where we would go canoeing.
Sailing along, we passed the stunning Ko Pidao. Finally, we arrived at Ko Hong, where the breathtaking views continued. The beauty of Thailand's natural wonders, with its majestic mountains rising from the water, is truly awe-inspiring. Words cannot describe the sheer magnificence of these islands.
Paddling along, we reached a point where we disembarked onto a floating pontoon in the middle of the water. Several boats were moored in this area, taking a break.
We then crossed over to the pier and boarded a comfortable canoe. The boat was large, and getting on and off was not scary at all.
Each canoe is paddled by a staff member. I'm not sure if there is a self-paddling option, but I recommend letting the staff paddle so you can take photos as you go. Additionally, the boat needs to navigate through various chambers, which the staff are more experienced in handling. However, if you wish to paddle, the staff will allow you to do so in safe areas with calm water.
The natural art continues through various chambers, with staff pointing out fascinating rock formations sculpted by nature. A truly enjoyable and memorable experience.
I'm not sure what this is, but there's a lot of it.
We were kayaking inside the island, surrounded by rocky mountains. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the beautiful natural scenery of Thailand. We paddled for about half an hour, not keeping track of time, before returning to the boat.
We rested, drank water, and ate snacks (as if we had actually paddled the boat ourselves!), enjoying the stunning views as we headed towards our next destination.
Let's take a look at the room downstairs. The lower floor has beds arranged in a way that allows for comfortable sleeping without feeling cramped. Additionally, the lower floor is equipped with air conditioning.
The boat continued its journey, stopping at Ko Na Khai for a refreshing swim. The group enjoyed splashing around in the water.
After playing in the water, you can take a shower on the boat. There is fresh water available for showering. It's great!
Those who do not want to play in the water can sit and enjoy the view on the boat while eating snacks.
The next destination is the world-famous James Bond Island, also known as Khao Tapu and Khao Phing Kan in Thailand. This iconic landmark is a must-see on any trip, offering stunning views and photo opportunities.
Here, we had to switch to a long-tail boat. Unfortunately, when we reached Khao Tapu, it started to rain. We had to put on raincoats to board the long-tail boat to see Khao Tapu and Khao Phing Kan. The boat service provided raincoats for everyone, which was great. We didn't have to worry about getting wet in the rain.
Reaching Khao Tapu, we took numerous photos and videos. The water was incredibly clear. We sat and admired the view, observing a lone macaque stranded on the Khao Tapu side.
Our guide explained that the opposite side is an island inhabited by a large population of macaques. When the tide recedes, the water level drops, creating a sandbar that allows the monkeys to cross between the islands. Unfortunately, we didn't witness this phenomenon. During low tide, the monkeys would typically cross in search of food. However, it seems this particular macaque got caught off guard by the rising tide and is now stranded. While it's a pity, the guide assured us that once the tide recedes again, the monkey will be able to return home.
After a short walk on Koh Tapu Island, we returned to the boat as evening approached. Earlier, rain had threatened to obscure the sunset, but as we boarded the boat, the skies cleared, the rain having stopped while we were still on the island. This fortunate turn of events allowed us to enjoy a spectacular sunset while cruising back, accompanied by a delicious dinner.
The boat sailed back to Ao Po, Phuket. Enjoying the view on the way back, the boat was very smooth and did not sway at all. People who are prone to seasickness need not worry.
The sun begins to set, casting a golden glow as it dips below the horizon.
Some people sit on the front of the boat to enjoy the breeze and the view. The atmosphere is beyond words. You have to experience it yourself. The scenery is beautiful, the cool breeze blows comfortably, and the boat sails smoothly. It is a truly unforgettable experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness such beauty.
The food on board will be a buffet with shrimp, squid, fried chicken, tom yum soup, stir-fried vegetables, sweet and sour fish, omelets, chicken curry, and more. You can eat as much as you want, and drinks are included until the boat returns to shore, unless they run out first.
Self-service beverage station with ice and cups provided.
As the boat sailed on, the sun gradually began to set, sinking lower and lower until it was almost touching the horizon. Soon, darkness would fall. The surroundings grew dimmer, but faint lights could still be seen along the way.
Each person relaxed on the boat as they pleased.
The boat safely returned to shore. The footage clearly shows the boat, highlighting the trip's exclusivity. The guide informed us that the day before our visit was a holiday, resulting in a higher number of visitors. However, the day we went was considered less crowded, offering a comfortable and uncrowded experience. The guide provided excellent care and guidance.
Upon disembarking, a car was waiting to transport us back to the parking area, eliminating the need for a tiring walk. The service was truly exceptional.
Another Memorable Day: A Luxurious Boat Trip to Phang Nga Bay with Andaman Passion
This trip to Phang Nga Bay with Andaman Passion was unlike any other I've experienced. It was a day of pure relaxation, filled with stunning views, delicious food, and endless snacks.
Unlike other trips that require early mornings and rushed schedules, this one allowed for a leisurely start. We woke up at our own pace, enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, and spent some time relaxing before heading to the Ao Po pier to board the boat.
The journey itself was a treat, with breathtaking scenery unfolding before our eyes. We had the option to either relax on the boat and soak in the views or take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters.
One of the highlights of the trip was the visit to Koh Hong. Here, we were provided with kayaks, allowing us to explore the hidden coves and lagoons at our own pace. This made the trip accessible for everyone, from young children to older adults.
This truly was a family-friendly trip, offering a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. We returned home with unforgettable memories and a renewed sense of peace and tranquility.
I am incredibly happy.
